Why Get Vaccinated?
Vaccines and immunizations are one of the safest ways to defend against many deadly diseases. By receiving a vaccine, you greatly reduce the risk of getting infected by having the compounds in the vaccine work with your body to develop immunity. Once your body comes in contact with the disease, your immune system can fight off the infection.

Who Gets Vaccinated?
Everyone! Most of our immunizations begin at a very early age and carry through our childhood. Some of them need to be re-administered as time goes on, and others can be yearly or periodic. No matter what your age, you can still defend against dangerous diseases by receiving the recommended vaccinations and/or boosters your physician suggests.

Are there any Risks?
Like with any medication, immunizations can cause side effects. Because each injection is different and each person is different, the effects of the vaccine can vary. Before you are to receiving an injection, your doctor and/or nurse always inform you of any side effects, ask questions and ensure your safety. The typical reactions are at the injection site(s) such as, redness, swelling, pain, soreness and stiffness. If you notice any other out of the ordinary ailments, be sure and contact your provider, or our urgent care right away.
